If you've never experienced hypnosis, you might wonder, "what does hypnosis feel like?" Thats really a great question, but Im afraid the answer might not be as exciting as you were expecting? I was interested in hypnosis for a long time before I was ever officially hypnotized by someone else. I had read and studied hypnosis for years and was actually in a hypnosis training class the first time I was hypnotized. Even thenwith all I knew about hypnosis, I was still a little nervous. So I can understand people when they want to know what its like and what they can expect. Hypnosis has been made somewhat glamorous (and scary), by Hollywood as well as stage hypnosis. Often times, movies make hypnosis out to be some kind of mind control used for dastardly deeds! And youve probably seen the stages showsa hypnotist up there in front of an audience with a line of people or subjects. As the show progresses, the people are made to do all kinds of goofy things and make fools of themselves in front of the crowd. Well its important to understand that clinical hypnosis is much different than stage hypnosis. You arent being hypnotized to be funnyyoure goal is to make positive changes in your life. So there is no need to be concerned that a hypnotist or a self hypnosis MP3 is going to take control of your mind. Besides, another very important thing to remember is that no one, absolutely no one, can make you do something you dont already want to do. Keep that in mind as you consider using hypnosis. Everyone will experience hypnosis differently. There just is no way to know what you will experience. So the best thing I can do is to tell you what you might experience. Here are some of the things you may feel or experience during a hypnosis session. Most everyone feels extreme relaxation. By extreme, I dont mean asleep. But you will feel very good and very relaxed You might also experience a tingling in the fingers, toes or your scalp. There may be a sensation of heaviness, (sinking into your chair or wherever you're lying), or a light, floating sensation. You might feel as though you're "disconnected" from your physical body. You'll likely be extremely focused, "in the zone" focused at various times. Emotions you experience during your session may be very intense, i.e. tears, laughing, etc.

The first time youre hypnotized, you may not go as deep since this will be new to you and youre likely to be a little apprehensive. In subsequent hypnotic sessions youll likely enter much deeper states because they know what to expect and can relax more. To sum things up, there just isnt any way to predict what you will personally experience in hypnosis, but I can almost guarantee you will find it enjoyable. Most people report that after coming out of the hypnotic trance, they feel refreshed and energized as though theyd just taken a nice nap. I hope that you will get the opportunity to experience hypnosis. I think youll find that its something youll want to do again and again!About the Author:
