To become a professional grower, you need to learn to judge the time and the right amount of water to your plants. Most people end up over watering their plants and get disappointed by the results. Only a handful of people clearly judge the exact watering time and proper selection of lighting required by your plant.

It is a well-known fact that different orchids have different requirements in terms of amount of water and light requirements. It is mainly because different orchid roots require different level of water, excess to that may cause them go rotten and dead. Even though, orchids require a particular minimum level of water depending on the season. Aldo, during the summer season, the orchid plants require more water than in the winter season.

Most people use tap water for supplying the required level of water but the rainwater is still much better. So, for collecting the rainwater, you can keep some cans of water in your garden and collect water for your orchid plants. In addition, you can supply extra nutrients in a form of manure and fertilizers on a regular basis. Regular feeding of nutrients will help in making the roots stronger and better.
