Automatic Circular Saws - Intelligent Solutions

With the circular saw, you will have a sawing machine that has a jagged circular blade. It can be hand held or mounted on a table and it can run off of a batter, a small fuel engine or electricity, which is more common.

Many people prefer the circular saw over any other sawing machine because they are able to produce a wide variety of cuts such as a cross, circular, angular or straight cut. They are also very easy to handle, which is another reason for the popularity. The basic design allows for the motor and for most of the blade to be hidden, there is a handle for easy maneuvering and there is a trigger switch which allows you to operate the saw.

The main differences between different circular saws are all in the type of blade that is being used. You should note though that the torque and the blade type are co-dependent.

The blades can be driven for a mounted motor or from being mounted directly on the drive shaft of the motor. The different blades will vary depending on what you intend to use it for.

There are smaller blades for the circular saw that are used for re-sawing wood while the high speed steel saws and Tungsten Carbide Tipped saws are used for cutting timber. If you want to cut through metal, you are going to need large diameter blades in your circular saw.

The torque is the rotational force that is exerted by the sawing machine blade and it is all dependent on the diameter of the blade itself. The double gear drive sawing machine will have two blades. One will be attached to the blade shaft while the other is attached to the motor. Circular saws that are able to change motion at sharp angles are called Worm Gear Saws and there are cold saws that have a slow rotational speed for the thick cuts.

In most cases, while using a circular saw, the material that is to be cut is clamped down on the work table using a vice or clamps. Materials to be cut should be measured and marked along the cutting path using a pencil (the marking process may be repeated to ensure accuracy). The saw usually has a line on the foot plate that can be lined up with the markings on the material to be cut and be used to show the path the saw is to follow.

However, before you get started, you want to make sure that the circular saw blade is about one inch above the material you will be cutting. Press the trigger switch and then slowly move down to cut the material. When you are finished with the cut, make sure that the blade has completely stopped moving before you sit it down.

Of course, the work table circular saw is an exception as you will move the material slowly towards the saw instead of moving the saw through the material.
