subject: Entry Level Affiliate Marketing Information [print this page]

Affiliate Marketing is the most popular way to promote someone elses, or your own, product or service. People are paid whenever something is sold in this format. So if you sell an information product, and you were working with affiliates, you would pay them to deliver sales to you...sounds awesome right?

I'm sure you see the benefits at this point: no matter what your program/ service/ information product is you can find someone to sell it for you and you'll make money immediately. They also benefit because they are getting paid for every sale as well. There are 2 different ways to set your affiliate program up as well. You can either do it through Clickbank or a company like that which makes payment hassle free and tracking as well. Clickbank is INCREDIBLY user friendly. The other way you can set your program up is by means of InfusionSoft, DirectTrack or a number of other tracking platforms...the problem with these are that payment methods are not automated so you may need an accountant for these.

There are three ways that you will be able to compensate or be compensated.

#1: CPC or Cost Per Click - You can pay people on clicks they send; likewise, you can get paid to send clicks to certain offers. I only know of this working in CPA and in "JV Launches" so I would avoid this technique for now and revisit once you know what your traffic is worth.

#2: CPS or Cost-Per-Sale - This is the #1 way in which all programs are marketed. The industry for Cost Per Sale advertiser grows every 10 seconds and is making a TON of people loads of money. Often times, Affiliate marketers make more selling products than big time CEO's make. This is no joke, and I would highly suggest taking this course when marketing or looking to have others market your products.

#3: CPL (Cost Per Lead) - Now, a lead can be anything but mostly refers to the acquisition of a potential clients information. Whether that's their Zip code, cell phone number, name, email address...the list goes on and on honestly. I think this is the best way to get started, you get great payouts often times (if you are in the right CPA Network) and this ads up quickly and relatively easily.
