Golfing Vacation Get Away to Prince Edward Island

Did you know that some of the best golf courses in Northern America are located on Prince Edward Island? Prince Edward Island is a province of Canada located at the mouth of the St. Lawrence River. It is known for many things, such as its white sand beaches, its redstone cliffs, lush forestry and wonderful world class golf courses and the famed PEI cottages and hotels.

No doubt, if you've ever picked up a club or two, you've heard of The Links at Crowbush Cove, Dundarave or Brudenell River golf courses. PEI tourism offers more than 50 experienced based vacation packages to suit any level of golfing expertise. If you looking to sight a legend then you will want to plan your trip for the eastern courses where the rich, famous and professional, are said to frequent.

However, no matter where you choose to golf, you will find courses that are well kept and clean. Television's The Golf Channel uses the Mill River Golf Course to host its Big Break series. Big Break is a reality type golf show which attempts to pick the next big professional golfer. Mill River is located west of Summerside. There are also at least 30 other courses in the nearby area, should Mill River not suit your game. As small as PEI is, you'll have plenty of time to play a round in the morning and then continue touring and sight seeing the rest of the day.

Golfing on PEI can also be a family affair including the kids, who may not sit still for a complete round of 18 holes, but would do well playing a short 9 hole course which are plentiful on the island. Whatever you want to do, Prince Edward Island is Canada's number one destination for golfers and for golfing vacations to fit your skill level as well as your budget. As well along the way don't forget to stop at one of the many other PEI tourist and travel destinations such as Cavendish Beach, Anne of Green Gables, worlds PEI's world famous lobster suppers.
