Never use the davit to lift people
Step 1: Check the area around the davit and make sure it is clear
Step 2: Remove thetie-downs from the pad-eye to release the davit boom
Step 3: Check the condition of the hook
Step 4: Connect the remote control to the davit
Step 5: Turn the power on (breaker or switch)
Note: Remote Controls- your remote will depend on the type of davit you have
Two Button- Operates Cable
Four Button- Operates Cable and Boom
Six Button- Full Hydraulic with Rotation
Step 6: The top buttons of the remote control the boom. To move the boom up- press the left button. To move the boom down- press the right button
Step 7: The center buttons of the remote control the rotation. To move the boom left- press the left button. To move the boom to the right- press the right button.
Step 8: The bottom buttons operate the cable. To move the cable up- press the left button. To move the cable down- press the right button.
Step 9: When the davit is not in use, be sure to put the davit in the storage position
