subject: Important Tips For Choosing A Suitable Job For Students [print this page]

Students often have to start working in order to get some additional financial resources. The necessity of finding a job may be of various origins, and the aims may be different. Nevertheless, independently of the aims and origins, job selection is often not a simple task, as the choice is restricted not only by the lack of qualification, but also by the requirements of working schedule. However, the choice should be based not only on the consideration of salary and schedule, as students have to consider their preferences, and (preferably) association of the working place with their educational specification.

Some Tips to Consider

While selecting a possible variant of job, the tips, which should be considered, are as follows:

1.Consider whether you want to earn with your legs or with your head. Both variants have their pros and cons; however, mental labor is more demanding, while physical work may be too exhausting.

2.Consider whether you would like to work part-time or night shift. Let us assume that full-time job is not suitable on default. Independently of the choice, you will have less time for accomplishing educational assignments; nevertheless, working night shifts, there is an opportunity to accomplish the assignments at least partly at night, while the assignment list for part-time job is rather dense.

3.Find out whether there is an opportunity to take a vacation for the examinational session. If there is not such an opportunity, prepare to leave this job in advance for all the formalities could be solved before the exams start.

Finally, independently on the selection, and the working environment, consider the fact whether you will enjoy this job, as there are enough requirements and tensions at the university, though, job should not add to much fatigue.
