The Rio Grande Valley State Park was made in 1983, and is a massive park stretching from Sandia Pueblo in the north through Albuquerque and south to Isleta Pueblo. Many habitats have formed around it for beavers, abundant bird species, turtles and snakes. One can hike on the Paseo del Bosque which runs next to the east part of the river Rio Grande, or take any one of the natural trails formed under the cottonwood trees. The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science was founded in 1986 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This splendid museum will take you on a journey through time as it allows you to explore a cave, walk through a volcano, and discover the Ice Age.
