subject: Washing And Waxing Is Important To Vehicles [print this page]

Whether your car is showroom new or has been around the block, and whether you use your truck for riding around town or off-road mudslinging, it's important to follow a cleanup routine to protect your vehicle's finish.

With the use of proper protection paint treatments and the use of the right equipment a car's exterior finish can be kept from cracking and damage along with the inside of the car.

The most critical step in this is to have the exterior cleaned extremely well. It is so easy just to hose down the outside of your car but a proper wash means more than this. Many things that ruin your car's finish need to be removed and these are, bird droppings, salt and dirt.

Any washing liquid will not do you must use the proper car washing liquids. Dish detergent, often used when washing at home, can strip wax and damage the finish.

Large amounts of dirt seem to get caked on at the bottom of your car so do not forget this, also when washing start at the top first. Begin your wash with a weak sponge and move on to harder ones if they do not work. Do not damage the finish by pushing too hard on it. Instead of relying on force use the proper liquids to remove certain things.

Once you've cleaned the exterior, it's just as important to clean the inside of your car. Your comfort will increase when you travel in a clean car so throw out all rubbish inside the car. It's also important to wipe down surfaces with a product designed to provide protection from UV rays, which can dry out leather and cause plastic to crack.

An important part of the interior work is cleaning the windows, especially the windshield, with a glass cleaner. The amount of grime that builds up over a little time is amazing and if not tended to a dirty window means poor vision and it can quite easily cause an accident. Especially in the interior of smokers cars you will notice a thick film on the glass.

Once your vehicle is clean, you'll want to think about protecting your work with wax or polish. They all help preserve the finish and give it a gloss. Polish and wax in the shade to protect the car and only begin a new small area once you have completed the first small area. The paint will damage if you let your car dry completely.

Even the tires car be brought back to life with strengthening sprays that bring back the black to them.

If everything we have just gone through sounds like it will be too much of a burden on you do not fret. For a pretty cheap and reasonable price there are professional car cleaning places that can do all of the work for you.
