For those of you relocating to another part of the country, you should consider buying a home in Arizona. This article will provide you with the basics of Arizona and the FSBO real estate market.

The largest and fastest growing city in Arizona is the city of Phoenix. Phoenix is also Arizona's capital, and this sixth biggest city in the country is Arizona's economic capital as well. Phoenix is getting so big that it has actually merged with the adjacent cities of Tempe and Scottsdale, Arizona. Phoenix always seems to feel as though it is a brand new city, which means a lot of people believe that it has no authentic past.

Phoenix is home to a number of sports, so an interest in attending such events is satisfied here. There are professional teams in football, baseball, and basketball. Phoenix even has a professional ice hockey team, the Phoenix Coyotes. It is hard to believe that a NHL team can exist in a desert, but it can!

Individuals who enjoy a warm climate will find Phoenix fits the bill. During the summer, average temperatures are usually above the 100 degree mark without much humidity to speak of. In the winter months, the nights can be on the colder side, but during the day, the temps will still be in the mid 70s.

Flagstaff and Phoenix do not share many similarities, as the city of Flagstaff has an overall feeling of the Wild West era of old. Flagstaff is a city right off of the renowned Route 66, and is home to Arizona State University. With 30,000 current students, "ASU", as the University is known, commands the city of Flagstaff.

The real estate in Arizona, compared with other states, is priced to be affordable. A typical house in Phoenix will cost around $300,000 on average. Over the past year, though, the real estate market in Arizona has caught fire, and the state has seen a greater than 25% appreciation in home values.

The heat index in the state means you either love it or hate it here. Purchasing real estate in Arizona may be a prudent choice for you if hot days of bright sunshine appeal to you.
