subject: What Are Your Wearing And Why? [print this page]

There are many techniques to create a fashion statement. You can wear something that jumps out in a group, whether it is because you like it or you can dress in something that is so improper that it is ironic.

If a young man or woman wears a shirt of a older well-known music group or film, it can be ironic and cool, but if an older person puts on the same t-shirt, you just believe that they are a fan. A number of individuals can pull nearly anything off, irrespective of what the style is and the trends are, but different individuals ought to simply focus on the basic things. It all is a matter of what you are relaxed with.

If you have to think too hard regarding what you're going to wear, then it probably isnt the greatest idea to wear it. You not only have to be cozy with what you wear, what you wear should be comfortable. If you happen to be consistently thinking about what you are wearing and how it looks, you are going to be so preoccupied with your clothing that you forget about whatever else it is you have going on. Remember, if you need to try too hard, it likely is not working the way it ought to.

What you want is for your clothing to be an extension of yourself. If the clothing pulls too much attention away from the wearer, it means that the clothes are more memorable than the person. And that's never a great idea unless you are at a fashion show and nobody goes to those anyway. With the intent of the cloths to make the person look good and feel good, an easy formula can be put in place. Wear what you love and what makes you look and feel your best. Then work everything else around those concepts.

If you do not like pleated khakis, then look at the smooth front and notice if you prefer those better. If you are nervous about looking funny because of the pleats all day, you will be preoccupied on those pleats and not have a very good day. Even though other people are wearing pleats doesnt necessarily mean that you have to. Fashion can often be set by fads and change all the time, but everybody is permitted to have his or her own way and to wear what they like. Of course it always has to be proper to the situation; you cant wear sweats to the office simply because you want to wear them on the weekend.
