I was a little skeptical when I visited the sales page for SEO Lies, not least because of that
one dollar price tag! However the author seemed to have a good reputation, and after reading a couple of SEO Lies review I took the plunge and paid my dollar. My skepticism was completely unwarranted - in four years of internet marketing I have never come across a guide that delivers so much for so little money.
SEO Lies is a 35 page ebook with no "filler" content and plenty of actionable advice. It is
broken down into two parts.
The first section of the guide is a comprehensive debunking of the ten most prevalent SEO
misconceptions. These include such topics as: SEO is difficult, duplicate content will get you
penalized, and SEO takes ages to implement. Justin Brooke takes each of these topics and
clearly explains what is wrong with them - and why.
Following this, he gives you step-by-step instructions as to what does work in SEO. These
steps can be summarised as: how to acquire quantity and quality backlinks, the importance of good on-page SEO, keyword and keyword competition research. These subjects and more are covered in the guide, and importantly the information is based on the author's own testing and research over the last couple of years, rather than just being someone else's regutgitated ideas. He also explains both verbally and by means of a mind map how everything can be integrated to form a powerful system he calls "The Boat".
I'll wrap up my SEO Lies review by stating that SEO Lies is powerful stuff - the author has shone a much needed spotlight on the frequently confusing area of SEO information and misinformation. It seems that many of us (my self included) have been over-complicating the whole SEO thing unnecessarily.
