subject: Baby Costumes - Cuter Than Anything Else In The World [print this page]

There a whole array of styles when it comes to baby costumes. Most are made into a one piece suit that slips on very easily both on and off.

Most are made to look like animals or cartoon characters. Manufacturers use different print material to get the effect they desire. The look of most is achieved by adding ears to the hood of the one piece costume and a tail. This hood/ears bottom/tail pattern can result in a host of opportunities to create it. For tiger the material that is used is striped material, a lion may be done in a plain tan material with the "mane" securely affixed around the edge of the hood so that when the hood is put on the head the "mane" frames the baby's face.

There are a lot of types that are manufactured with the tail and hood option because babies do not want to wear something that will have their faces covered. For this reason, they are designed in that way. There are some that are extremely elaborate. They have very many embellishments on them all done with the single piece slip on design in mind.

Buying second hand is a great option. Usually they are only used one time, which is such a waste. Purchasing second hand is a great option to save some money and help the environment. Many thrift stores will have second hand costumes for sale. Yard sales and garage sales are another great option for finding and purchasing second hand costumes.

Catalogs that are geared toward baby gear also will have them for sale. New ones can usually be purchased from any store that sells baby apparel. There are some for sale at many websites as well. They are also available in specialty stores that carry costumes and discount warehouse stores.

Baby costumes are a very fun way to dress your baby up for parties and events. Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and other holidays where a baby in costume is expected. They are quite inexpensive and offer fantastic photo opportunities.
