The LG GD880 Mini has a large 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen and has a 5 megapixel camera along with its messaging and email features. It also offers the fullness of the Web through its HTML web browser and a built-in MP3 player for music on the move.

The handset uses GSM to provide a 2G network where a 3G networks not available to the user, and where this is the case it offers HSDPA at 7.2 megabits per second, and HSUPA at 2 Mbps respectively. Data is provided over the GPRS and EDGE Class 10 networks and Wi-Fi is also at hand for a fast internet connection.

The GD880 Mini offers a tiny design still able to offer a large touch screen at 3.2 inches in size (diagonally), which can vividly display up to 256 thousand colours at a resolution of 480 by 854 pixels. The screen provides a multi-touch input technology and user interface and automatically rotates the UI when then handset is rotated thanks to the Accelerometer featured.

The phone is able to store up to a thousand entires in its phone book along with call logs within its internal 330 megabytes of memory, which is then boosted by its microSD card slot technology which allows the user up to 32 gigabytes of storage memory for music, photos and more.

The camera featured has a 5 megapixel resolution and autofocus lens offering photo capture with automatic geotagging, face and smile detection respectively, and image stabilisation to allow the user to take a great photo first time. It is also able to capture video clips offering video recording in VGA at 30 frames per second, providing a sharp video picture. Additionally, the phone has a front camera for video calling.

The handset has a built-in MP3 player capable of playback of all major audio formats and offering a simple music library organised for the user to easily select tracks to listen to. A video player is also featured. Audio can be listened to through either the traditional 3.5mm jack audio connection offered, or alternatively through a wireless Bluetooth headset thanks to the Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity with the A2DP (wireless stereo) profile.

The LG GD880 Mini is a very compact phone still managing to offer both an impressive camera as well as a large TFT touch screen through which an easy user interface allows the user to navigate their way around their music, messages and media along with integrated social networking.
