subject: Why Choose Your Lexus From Lexus Dealerships? [print this page]

Buying your car from a dealer is a good way of ensuring that a car that you purchase is going to be of a good quality, whether new or old. Recently I was looking for my own car and decided that I wanted a newer car but didn't want to buy brand new, as I believe that it's not very green. I decided to look at some of the top car dealers, from BMW, MINI, Land Rover and Lexus dealerships. Here in this article we shall look at why purchasing your car from a dealer is recommended over buying privately.

The main reason that purchasing from a dealership is that you the consumer are protected by the Sale of Goods Act, which states that goods that are sold must be of an acceptable standard. When purchasing a vehicle privately this will not protect you. When looking for my own car at the Mini and Lexus dealerships I found that reputable dealers are members of a trade association and are all bound by codes of conduct. In the UK when looking for a suitable dealership look out for signs with the Retail Motor Industry Federation signs.

Franchised outlets usually have a pick of the best cars around and will offer the consumer the best deals on warranties. Using dealers are also hugely convenient as you will be able to browse at all the different vehicles at your own leisure-if nothing is suitable then you will be able to return in a few weeks time and look at the new stock, be it new cars or previously owned.

Another large benefit of using a car dealer is that there will be different options available on how you make the payment for the car. There is part exchange, finance, insurance and servicing arrangements all possible to organise at the dealership. At the Lexus dealerships I found the service really helpful and found buying my car rather stress-free. Once I explained that I wished to buy a new second hand car they went out of their way to help me purchase the perfect car.

I now own my own Lexus, which is pre-owned but so new I would never be able to tell. If anything goes wrong or I have a question about my car I can rest assured that any of Lexus dealerships I happen to be near will be happy to help. I really recommend purchasing a car in this way, it takes away many of the common pitfalls that first-time buyers can experience.
