subject: Scholarships For Single Moms To Get Back To College [print this page]

As everyone knows the cost of education is not going down. It will continue to increase as time goes on. For those who can barely afford college it can be very expensive to attend.

For those who want to go college there are alternative ways that will help with the costs. There are 3 choices that are made available to help with the financing of colleges. Many students apply for all three when possible.

Back in the day loans from banks were easy to get and the majority of people attending got financing using these types of loans. It was easy, these loans were given out to everyone the only requirement was breathing, the banks new that the job market would support the graduates.

Everything has changed; banks are not loaning money because of all the bad loans and the credit crisis. The loan process is very strict and very few people receive them. The requirement for getting these loans is a perfect credit score. Many people can't get these loans because the industry has made it impossible to do so.

Since the economy and industry has made impossible to get money for college the government decided to step in with new programs, called grants. This new program will allow moms receive up to $5,000 in free money to use for college. The money can be used for school supplies, fees and anything else.

Many people applying for grants have reported that the applications are a bit complicated and the time it takes to process these applications takes some time, but the money that is allocated is available. The money that the government is issuing does not need to be paid back. Moms who apply really need this money to attend college.

Since the government's role in providing support for education the private corporations have also answered the call to help. Corporations have introduced scholarships; these scholarships are sponsored and paid for by companies who are looking to give back. By helping millions of mothers go back to college this will help spur job growth.

By creating these scholarships and helping moms go back to school helps in two ways. It first helps moms get educated and the second way companies are receiving educated employees to hire. This will then translate into helping the economy grow.

Sponsors of these scholarships have made the application process very simple. There are no long forms or difficult paperwork to fill out. They award the scholarships up to $10,000 every couple of months and you are not required to pay them back.
