Do not drink sodas and beverages that contains excessive sugar. *Do a little more exercise regularly. You do not need to do hard exercise. Find what is fun and convenient for you. You can walk inside the mall or around your house, walk up the stairs instead of taking the lift or an escalator, clean the house, try to run errands on foot.
