Erick Morillo (born 1971) is a DJ, producer and label owner of Colombian-American. Having produced under many monikers including Ministers De la Funk, The Drone, RAW, Smooth Touch, RBM, Deep Soul, Ultimate Club and Lil 'Mo Ying Yang, Morillo is best known for his international work in house music, especially for Strictly Rhythm label, and the tube of 1993 I Like to Move It, produced under the pseudonym Reel 2 Real and known through his appearances in commercials and films, and for the sale of ringtones.

Morillo was raised in British and Jersey City, New Jersey, where he joined the Catholic schools of St. Joseph and Michael. He graduated from Emerson High School in the town of Union City, New Jersey in 1989. His musical influences are Latin rhythms: reggae and hip-hop.

Morillo began his career at the age of 11, mixing in small local parties and paying its debts by hosting festivals and holidays for his family and friends. After seeing the ads on television Media Arts Center New York, Morillo joined the institution in order to learn audio engineering.

By working in a box nearby Weehawken, New Jersey, Morillo met Latin star El General, with whom Morillo became friends. The two work in 1992 on the single Muevelo, a mixture of reggae, house music, and a sample of the single Anesthasia of T99. The single was certified platinum, and Morillo productions become the basis of Latin music club.

Morillo decided to diversify their music, and became friends with the then unknown singer-songwriter Marc Anthony, who introduces him to his partner and author of the anthem of the house Rhythm Ride On, Little Louie Vega, who advises Morillo to concentrate on the vocals.

Morillo creates a new pseudonym Reel 2 Real, signed by the label Strictly Rhythm. The first exit for Strictly Rhythm Morillo is The New Anthem, who frequents the clubs and the charts and generating considerable attention to Morillo.

Morillo surpassing that success with the tube 1993 I Like to Move It, Latin house music with the voices of reggae rapper native of Trinidad and Tobago Mark Quashie (aka The Mad Stuntman). I Like to Move It became an international hit, broadcast on all major radio stations, reaching the 69th spot on the Hot 100, the fifth of the UK Singles Chart and making Morillo a millionaire.

From I Like To Move It "and House Of Love (a song out in the Smooth Touch), ranked first on the Hot Dance Music / Club Play, Morillo travel worldwide, mostly in Europe, where he recorded for MTV Europe and the United States, where he returns for the promotion of its products.

In 1994, I Like to Move It is used for a series of ads for visielles National Basketball League Australian. In the 1990s, the song is used in advertisements for confectionery Chewits, where the words "I like to move it" ("I like the move") become "I like to chew it" ("I love chewing).

The song will be used later in the Dreamworks animated film, Madagascar, released in 2005, repeating once again that as a worldwide hit. The same year, the song is taken by Crazy Frog ringtone and fate as well as on the album Crazy Frog Presents Crazy Hits.

Reel 2 Real has released other titles listed in the charts, which include voice "The Mad Stuntman", Barbara Tucker, Charlotte Small or Proyecto Uno. The wealth accumulated by Morillo with his two albums under the pseudonym of Real 2 Real is estimated at 2 million dollars.

While he continued his tour in December 2008, he was arrested for possession of cocaine at the airport in Glasgow. He compared open December 22. Morillo is released from prison with orders to return to Scotland for a trial period in March 2009.
