subject: Music To Fill The World [print this page] Not only are the hills alive with the sound of music so is the city, the house and the head. Every day can be a party with wireless computer speakers in the house. Business are also notorious for music in their establishments.
Music in restaurants is a science, some restaurants want people to eat quickly and leave so the music is more jarring and discordant, some restaurants want patrons to relax and eat more so they play relaxing, feel good music to make you feel at home and want to stay.
The music in stores is also very diverse, department stores and grocery stores play soft, easy listening music but teen clothing stores are heavy on the rap and hard rock. I'm not sure the science behind this except to keep everyone over 30 out of their stores.
Cars are much more individual and with the large gig ipods and mp3 players, a continuous stream of new songs can be heard all the from New York to Los Angelos without a single repeat. Music isn't limited to ipods and mp3 players though itcan be stored on cameras and cel phones also.
Wireless capacity has infiltrated the music world also, with wireless computer speakers which allow people to access their music and pipe it all over the house or business using an adaptor which broadcasts the music stored on a laptop or PC wirelessly through speakers placed though out the house or office. Talk about your party in a box. Business hours over, change playlist and let the good times roll. This would work great for pool parties where you wouldn't want to have your stereo or computer outside.
In a world inundated with music almost from the cradle, wireless and personal portable technology has made it possible to never be without your favorite artists. In this world of overstimulation and noise don't forget to take a little time out for peaceful meditations and quiet reflection, or at least put on something a little slower and quieter.
