OK, lets discuss Kindle, where to buy it and how to make sure that you are getting the right Kindle version for you.

Kindle has become a twenty first century phenomenom, reading actual paper books is fast becoming a thing of the past and we will probably be the last generation to consider paperbacks as a reading material.

Just like any other purchase, when I decided to buy a Kindle I looked online for any information that I could get, wow! is that confusing?

There are tons of websites all extolling the virtues of the Kindle and they all seem to say something different.

This is made worse by the fact that there are several kinds of Kindle available to purchase. How do you know which one is the right one for you?

At the time of writing there are 3 types of the latest Kindle version which are worth considering and these are:

Kindle 3g

Kindle 3g plus WiFi

Kindle DX

So the two main differences between these three devices are size, the DX is a larger version of the other two, around 9.5 inches compared to 6 inches (viewing screen)

The other difference is WiFi, the Kindle 3g/WiFi model can be used pretty much all over the place to connect and download new books.

If you have a computer and don't expect to be buying a new book while you are on the beach you may well decide you can live without it.

OK, there are three differences. Price, as in all things in life more features equal bigger price tag so before buying a Kindle decide on a budget.

Kindle Where To Buy

The Amazon Kindle is an ebook-reader specific to Amazon and so, funnily enough that is the best place to buy one. The inventory is always up to the minute and the Kindle prices are generally the best you will get.

Picking the right Kindle version is fairly straight forward if you have a budget. You buy the one you can afford.

Even if you have an unrestricted budget you will do well to read the latest Kindle version reviews as they can give you an unbiased customer experience to the product and even bring up questions that you may not have thought of before.

My way of working through the Kindle reviews is to check how many there are and what percentage is good to bad. Amazon make this fairly simple by awarding all its items an average score.

If the average score is above three I will look further at the actual reviews paying particular interest to the top rated and the bottom rated comments. I go on the basis that someone is twice as likely to comment if they have a negative experience than a good. I then adjust the ratings mentally taking this into account
