Some id cards might be duplicate copies given only when the original id is lost. If you still doubt the authenticity of the id card presented, then you can request the person to provide you with some other identity proof like a drivers license, passport, green card, social security number, credit/debit card etc. Ask for their zodiac sign and check for the signature: A person will surely be able to tell you his/her zodiac sign. However if a person is carrying a fake id, he/she may be aware of the birth date on the card, but they might not know the zodiac sign related to it. Also if a person fumbles or pauses excessivley while signing, then you might have reason to believed they are not genuinely the person depicted on the card and therefore maybe using a fake id. If you are still doubted regarding a persons id, then it is better to check with a colleague to verify whether the card is genuine or a fake id.
