subject: The Best (and Easiest!) Way to Prepare for a Baby [print this page]

Lately, I'm hearing more and more people talk about "baby planners." I'd heard of a wedding planner, so was this just J Lo's next movie? Never one to miss out on the latest trends, and being five months pregnant myself, it sounded like something I should look into.

Finding Linda, the baby planner was not only the best thing to happen to my nerves, but she made sure our daughter Bianca will be coming home to fully prepared parents. Or, as prepared as newbies can be. She was far more useful than any parenting book!

About ten minutes into our second meeting, one thing was very clearmy family was going to be some loyal Britax customers! At first, I was a little worried about the price of their items. But Linda went over budgeting and had great ways to save money in areas not as important as safetylike bedroom decorations. I will admit, I wanted to go a little over board with the baby room.

Prior to meeting Linda, I knew happy owners of the Britax Marathon and Britax Roundabout car seats. But which one my family should pick was beyond me. Not Linda though (I know, you'd think she was a super hero the way I talk)! Their entire product line impressed me by surpassing safety regulations and other brands' car seats. I really liked that Britax was the first to implement side impact safety features.

Both the Britax Marathon and Britax Roundabout car seats exceeded my expectations. Linda broke it down for me. While each are excellent car seats and have similarities, the Britax Marathon will last a little longer because it can support a child of greater weight. On the other hand, the Britax Roundabout is a bit smaller and more convenient for little cars. Our budget only allowed for one car seat, or trust me I would have gotten both the Britax Marathon and Britax Roundabout. But I had to choose and seeing as we have a compact car, my husband and I decided on the Britax Roundabout. He, somehow, didn't see my logic when I suggested buying a larger car because the Britax Marathon could save us money as Bianca grows.

The next issue I really needed Linda's help with was strollers. Stroller shopping was near impossible based on the knowledge I had. I knew I needed something a child could fit in with wheels and that didn't seem to eliminate many of the options. Linda said she had two words for meBritax strollers. She knew me so well! After car seat shopping I became very impressed with Britax but thought they only had car seats. This is why I thank God I found Lindababy planner extraordinaire!

She keeps in contact with previous clients and the Britax stroller owners rave about them. In fact, she hasn't had a complaint yet. After reading about the Britax strollers safety features, I was convinced. Then Linda began going over the different models. I knew where this was going. By the end I would want to buy all of the Britax strollers. So I called for reinforcement. I'll let hubby, with a little help from our planner, decide on the best Britax stroller for us.

Once we decided on the merchandise, Linda helped us find the right outlet and best pricing. Being very trendy and with-the-times, hubby and I are avid online shoppers, which worked in our favor. Linda suggested a few sites. We wanted one that was well established, with the best pricing and we found it. We got our Britax Roundabout and Britax stroller from Albee Baby. And as soon as we get our bigger car, we'll get the Britax Marathon there, too! Oh, did I mention we got free shipping? We really are great shoppers. Granted, we did have a little help!
