subject: Kenneth Copeland Ministries Helped Me See The Light [print this page] I am writing my thoughts because I want to let the whole world know about the epiphany I have experienced for the past few months. This epiphany has moved me and changed me and more importantly, made me the man who I am today. It has led me to find my faith to Jesus Christ. Yes, I saw the light and followed it. It guided me while walking to the dark woods. This light radiantly shines from the Kenneth Copeland Ministries.
Just like any other ordinary person, I was born a regular American, to a typical American family, whom I thought were not doing wrong. We never go to church and I knew very few people who got to church. I may have known what religion is about, but I never took pains on neither studying nor reflecting on it. I do not know a thing about religion. When people asked me about history I can always give a quick answer, but when they asked me something pertaining to the Holy Bible, I only gave them silence. At that time I would qualify to become an atheist or a non believer.
This was the kind of thinking that lurked at the back of my mind for the longest time. But my life was completely changed at the onset of my taking of post graduate degree in history. I specialized in Western History, and I had this learned and well-versed professor. At first, I thought he was like any other professor in the academe. I thought he has no religion, nor did he have any faith in God. Mostly in his period, we would always pique and interest on intellectual discourse and debates about history, most especially about the history of United States. He elucidated things such as flag and anthem. He emphasized that if you see it in a different light, it was more than an anthem but more than an offering to God. And his motto was, in God we trust. We often had intellectual debates about God in the context of American history.
It had reached the point that I had to confront him about his beliefs after one of his classes. And so I did. He just gave me a card that had an address for one of the Kenneth Copeland Ministries, and his name on it. I was dumbfounded. I did not think this man would be a member of these loonies.
It took me sometime to convince myself to pay a visit to the address. And for days on end I did research of my own about these Kenneth Copeland Ministries. I was shocked when I read some of their articles about being an American is part of God's will for us, in a land of the free, where God himself had blessed us with strength to gain independence.
It took for me for a while to convince myself to try it and visit the written address. Beforehand, I researched about these Kenneth Copeland ministries. I was shocked when I read some articles about it. It said that being an American is no accident. God has planned it to be for us. And that it was God, himself, who grant us the independence that we are enjoying all the time.
It was at that time that I became devoted to my faith, and even became a lot more patriotic than before. God has opened a door in my life and filled it with love.
