Steps for Driving Automatic Retro Cars at the Rainy Season

Indeed, automatic retro cars promise to be more comfortable than the manual retro cars. However, automatic retro car requires special treatment at the unfriendly weather. The rainy season often brings a pool of water and even flood. The followings are the steps you should do to keep cars safe and convenient while being driven through high puddles:

Avoid barging into puddles that have depth more than half of the tire.

When running a car through a puddle of water, position the gears in the "L" (low) or "2" with a constant RPM in 2000, so that water does not enter the engine through the air filter and exhaust.

Wash the bottom of the car immediately after passing through puddles, so the mud and water do not contaminate the engine area.

Always check the quantity and quality of transmission oil. To check them, you should open the stick of transmission oil measuring stick (dipstick) and see if the oil becomes discolored. For automatic cars that use transmission oil in the type of life time (no dipstick), the checkup for oil quality should be consulted to the formal workshop. If the transmission oil color is cloudy as milk, water has entered the transmission.

Do not start the engine and run your automatic car if the water has entered the engine. You should contact the formal workshop immediately to carry out checkup on the car and ask for help "holding" the car into the garage.

If you have done the steps, it is hoped your automatic retro cars will be long lasting.
