If you've ever tuned your television to CNN on the weekend, then Headline News anchor Christi Paul is probably a familiar face. Here's what Christi and her husband of three years, Pete, told us about the surprises in marriage and what makes theirs work.
WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO EACH OTHER?
Pete: Christi's got a good heart. I saw that she never said an unkind or negative thing about anybody. That's an endearing quality you don't find often these days.
Christi: Pete's got a great sense of humor; he makes me laugh and smile constantly. In fact, the second time I saw him I remember my face hurt because we'd been together for hours and laughed so much.
HOW ARE YOU MOST ALIKE?
Pete: We don't sweat the small stuff. We're both really laid back.
Christi: Maybe because we'd both been through difficult relationships prior to finding each other, but we have a real appreciation for patience and calmness. We put things into perspective and try not to get bent out of shape about things that really don't matter. Pete's been a great teacher to me in that regard.
