The richest source of Vitamin C, the Indian gooseberry or Amla protects the heart and helps to reduce congestion. This antioxidant-rich fruit also aids in decreasing triglycerides and LDL (low density lipoproteins). Consume 25-50 ml of Amla juice daily in the morning on an empty stomach to prevent heart disease. Always remember to try only one herb at a time. Begin with small doses; and once you are comfortable, the dose may be increased.
