You absolutely must learn how to approach women if you are planning to broaden your sexual opportunities. The majority of guys, however, just don't have a clue how to "break the ice" with a girl they haven't met before -- and so they chicken out and say nothing at all, and miss their opportunity.
If they had simply grasped how to approach women, those guys could have easily obtained a phone number or a date in that scenario.
My seduction guide book Mack Tactics contains literally dozens of tactics for approaching women, but for now I'll give you several simple ways to approach women that will help you start learning this.
How To Approach Women Technique #1, "Facebook Friends": Here's a good way to approach women at bars. Smile and say to them, "Hey, I saw you on Facebook, I think we have a friend in common." This one is a gem because nowadays virtually every woman on the planet has a Facebook account, and it's entirely plausible that you do have a mutual friend.
Don't spend time talking to her about which Facebook friends you might possibly have in common. You've already Opened her; now transition to another topic so that you can build a connection with her.
Approach Women Tactic #2, "Phone Flirting": If she's using her cell phone, wait until she finishes her call or her text and then use this Opener: "Hi, what kind of phone is that? I need to buy a phone for a friend of mine, for her birthday, and I think that's the one she wants."
The girl will tell you the model of her phone, and then you say, "Can I take a picture with it real quick? I'd like to see how good the camera is." Have her show you how to take a picture...then use her phone to take a picture of her. Be playful -- have her do a "model" pose. Once you take the picture, she's naturally going to come in close to you so that she can see the result. (That's a funny thing about girls; they're crazy about taking pictures, especially of themselves, and they can't resist immediately checking how the photo came out.)
Then you can show her your own phone. If yours is a lot less fancy than hers, you can mention that you need to buy a new phone, and ask her advice. On the other hand, if you've got a cool phone, you're demonstrating to her that you stay up on the cool and trendy new devices. That's a good thing. And even better, since both of you are now holding your phones, it becomes very easy to do the "phone number exchange" that I explain how to do in the Mack Tactics book.
Approach Women Tactic #3, "The Birthday Gift": Notice an interesting detail of her appearance -- such as her handbag, necklace, earrings, dress, etc. Then say to her, "Excuse me, I really like that (fill in the blank). I need to buy a birthday gift for my friend and I think she'd love something like that...where's a good place for me to go shopping?"
This opener is reliable because you're talking about a subject that women naturally want to talk about. What girl doesn't like chatting about good places to shop? Also, by mentioning that you need to pick up a birthday gift for a friend of yours, you're planting the "seed" in her mind that you're a thoughtful, generous dude; certainly these are characteristics any girl is going to like.
BONUS TIP: If you're having a hard time finding unique details about most women that you can use to comment on, this is an exercise that will help. Sit outside a caf or coffee shop in an area where there are a lot of pedestrians. Order a drink or some food and spend 30 minutes watching the women who stroll past. See if you can notice one interesting detail about each one of them.. It becomes a lot easier to pick up on these subtle details once you've trained your eye to seek them. When you get good at this, you will almost always be able to notice an interesting detail about a woman and make a comment that will start the conversation.
