Any system, even if it is adjusted properly, requires a fresh analysis from the perspective of innovative implementations and adjustments for further improvement. Hence, student unions were created in order to provide such view on the matters of university governing process. On the one hand, these unions are the reliable alternative for the traditional administrative system of any college or university; on the other hand, students are too young, inexperienced, and busy with their studies for the reliable governing. However, unions exist in order to correct the actions by the official governing board, and to point out the evident and hidden mistakes that have not been revealed. In fact, this is required for several reasons:

Students require some kind of governing simulator in order to acquire and train organizational, communication and correspondence skills.

College administrations require someone who will be vital enough to mention and correct the government mistakes.

Student unions are regarded as the personnel reserve for some business and government organizations that may cooperate with universities. In fact, it is a good decision-making school, and organizations are looking for high achievers of this school.

Some Tips for Those who are In

There is a way in, and there is a way out, however, try to define whether it is suitable for you and whether you will be able to accomplish the assignments of the union without sacrificing the educational process. Do not think that you are indispensable, as there will be someone who is more reliable, professional, and responsible. Do not try to be the best; just be the best if you really are. Do your best if you are interested in successful performance of the union, and leave the union if you think it is impotent.
