People tell lies everyday. In fact, all of us tell a lie at some point of time in our lives. Those people who claim that they dont or that they never did are the biggest liars of all. According to some experts, seventy percent of lies are never discovered. However, it is fortunate enough that liars can be easily spotted by their body language, way of talking, eye movements, and their appearance.
Liars have a unique body language. Overall, their body language would be stiff, indicating a defensive mind set. They are usually more conscious about themselves, and so they can be a lot fidgety too. While they speak, their hands or their legs tend to tremble, and they would often touch their mouth or their face. You may notice that they would unnecessarily gesticulate with their hands or fidget with certain objects such as a pen. Sometimes they would even perspire profusely even when the weather is cold or even when the air conditioning system is working well.
You can also detect liars by looking at the movements of their eyes. Usually, liars do not make direct eye contacts and would rather avoid looking into your eyes. Their gaze would be fixed towards the floor most of the time when they are conversing.
Another way on how to know a liar is to observe his behavior. Liars are always defensive and will tend to behave aggressively or arrogantly. Also, the blood pressure of a person who is lying is known to rise, making their face turn red. The voice of a person who is trying to withhold truth will be generally squeaky and may sometimes tremble too. Lastly, he may jump from one topic to another, being unable to follow a particular sequence during a conversation.
