Follow all the same instructions as with containers apart from the size of hole, it needs to be around two foot wide and deep. The only other difference is watering; they need a lot daily for the first week and may need feeding too. Use a soil testing kit to see whether you need any fertilizer or compost at all, no need to make your rose dependant on additional supplements.
