Everyday on the television and the Internet we are bombarded with acne products and sales pitches. These products claim to cure all your acne with a simple cream or face scrub sounds to good to be true right and then you see how much money they want for these products, ouch! These products are never cheap and most people cant afford to spend this type of money on a product that may or may not work. If you are in a situation like this, then I guess today is your lucky day. Here are a few natural acne remedies using products found in your very home. At least try some of these acne home remedies before you spend hundreds on the fancy TV products your wallet will thank you later.
Here are a few recommended acne home remedies:
1. Lemon juice and rose water: Any brand of lemon juice or an actual lemon will do. Combine the lemon juice and rose water (regular water will do if you dont have rose water) into a container or small dish bowl. Take the lemon/water mixture and dab a cotton swab in it. Apply the mixture to the affected area on the face and keep on overnight.Wash off in the morning. Doing this can also prevent acne scars from forming on your skin.
2. Apply Garlic: Just take a clove of garlic and slice it in half, apply the garlic to the acne. Garlic has been proven to kill acne causing bacteria on the skin. Alternatively you can wash a few cloves of garlic, add water, and crush in a bowl. Apply the mixture to the acne. Both ways work well.
3. Oatmeal and Yogurt: Mix equal portions of oatmeal and yogurt, about 1 tablespoon each. Mix thoroughly until the oatmeal and yogurt are blended. Take the oatmeal/yogurt mixture and apply to the affected acne areas. Some advise to leave it on over night this can be a difficult task at best. My advice would be to apply the mixture in the evening (watch some TV or a movie) and leave it on until you go to bed. Wash off thoroughly and pat dry with a towel.
Try these acne home remedies for light to moderate acne. For severe acne please contact a physician.About the Author:
