It is consciousness that makes us human, and what role exactly the brain plays in that metaphysical mystery is not known. I do not believe on the other hand that computers have any sort of consciousness whatsoever. The human is a tool making creature and the computer is the greatest tool he has ever made. That, I believe anyway, is as far as it goes.
