subject: Fastest Way To Learn Spanish? [print this page]

What is the fastest way to learn Spanish? Well...depends on who you ask. But since you're here I take it you want the advice and insight of someone who had to it himself--so allow me to enlighten you. First off, it is very possible to learn to speak Spanish in a short amount of time. That is the situation I was faced with in school after a few weeks of not studying. I'm somewhat glad this happened since it sent me in the direction of learning how to speak better than everyone in my class--and I aced the final. Read on to see how I learned to speak Spanish fluently in 8 weeks.

Firstly, I started off utilizing a lot of free resources. I went to the public librray, looked at a few books and got frustrated. There were a handful of books that were a bit more adequate than my class textbook, but they definitely weren't helping me absorb the information an quicker. My solution? I went online.

Online I found a lot of great free websites that helped me learn phrases and conjugation I hadn't been taught in my classes (and speech lessons that put me years ahead my class mates). These resources were free, sure, but they only made sense to someone who had had a bit of experience with the Spanish language.

It was then that my friend recommended an online paid course that they heard worked well, so I checked it out. I purchased the course, downloaded it, and in 8 weeks I was able to learn how to speak Spanish. I wasn't perfectly fluent like a native speaker, but I was able to maintain conversations with my old Spanish professor and sent my language speaking into warp speed almost over night.
