Kendall's mission is to focus the student's passion of a particular subject into a successful career choice. Established in the early 1930's Kendall quickly distinguished itself from other private colleges. The campus is located in Chicago, Illinois, and supports over 2,200 undergraduate students. The institution's healthy student-to-faculty ratio (19 to 1) makes it an imposing competitor alongside its exclusive list of programs.
Programs Offered
Kendall focuses on a select few of programs, choosing quality and mastery of a program over quantity. For the student this means the choices are limited but given Kendall's low enrollment "limited" is actually "exclusive". There are four programs offered all with corresponding subcategories: Business, Hospitality, Culinary Arts and Early Childhood Education. Business concentrates on management, culinary, and food service management. Some of Hospitality Management's are: Hotel & Lodging Management, Event & Meeting Management, Club and Casino Management and Sport and Leisure Management. Culinary Art students will have their pick of a Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Culinary Arts with Concentration in Nutrition, an A.A.S. in Culinary Arts or Baking & Pastry or Culinary Certificates. Early Childhood Education offers Post B.A. Certifications, and concentrations in Special Education and Infant & Toddlers.
Tuition
Full time tuition is dependent on what above category you choose. For the numbers below, full time is considered 12-19 credit hours per quarter and numbers are rounded down to the nearest hundredth. Business $4,500, Hospitality Management $6,500, Culinary Arts $7,300, and Culinary Arts Certificates $16,800.
Transportation
Students travel around the campus on bikes, fast electric scooters, skateboards, gas and electric motor scooters and of course walking. Students can live off campus and often ride their transportation of choice from their homes to classes.
