subject: Need To Work On Your Relationship, Try A Weeklong Getaway [print this page]

As a couple you may be beginning to feel the stresses of the season taking hold. Run over here, than over there, the work seems endless and there never seems to be enough money to accomplish everything that you would like to do. The holidays could be a romantic time, if you weren't so darn busy all the time, but if you relationship is feeling the heat, than perhaps it is a good time to take a break from it all, and start focusing on the things that are truly important to you.

Consider going away with your partner, leaving behind all the phones, computers and televisions. Find a calm, quiet place to just be together and talk to each other and find one another again. You both deserve it and it could be your present to each other.

A week away from the outside world will do wonders for your relationship, and it doesn't matter where you go, as long as you shut out all the stressors of daily life and just take time to enjoy each other. A time out every now and again can work wonders for marriage problems or even just for a marriage that is feeling the stress and tension of the holidays.

Let go of all the holiday duties for a while, the time will pass by anyway, even if you don't do all the baking, shopping and wrapping. It's more important to take the time for your spouse and focus on your relationship, it'll be the best present either of you have every had.

Giving the gift of time is something everyone is capable of doing. It's a really good gift from the heart that we all need to do more often with all those we love.
