The formula that will show you if the article's been indexed in Google and Yahoo is to search 'site://yourdomain'. After it's been indexed you can distribute it anyplace else you want. Some site owners prefer to have variations of the published articles for off-site submission; the choice is entirely yours.

Where and How to Use the Articles

You already understand that you can submit your material to article submission sites, and at the very least you'll need to do that. But there are some other things to do with your articles that are just as useful...

* Bring out the articles on your blog and increase their profile (and the blog's) with a social bookmarking campaign to grow their popularity

* Turn a collection of articles into an e-book that you offer as an enticement to encourage readers to opt-in to your e-mail marketing list

* Use articles to create a newsletter that you direct to people who register on your site

Don't be worried that people might find these articles in more than one place. As long as Google can 'follow' them back to you, you will be well rewarded for distributing your work as widely as you can. You should always aim at getting the biggest benefit from all of your articles.
