subject: There Are Three Problems With Laser Liposuction That Cause Concerns [print this page]

There are three problems to Laser Liposuction that cause some concerns for cosmetic surgeons. These concerns have developed from a number of different testimonials. The three problems are the fat that is often left behind, the promise of the laser helping the skin to tighten, and the pain this procedure causes.

The first is the problem of fat being left behind. The laser actually killed the fat cells and in the process of killing a large amount of cells some have been injured. There are questions as to whether these damage cells are able to heal. There is no way to predict how the injured tissues will heal. The unpredictable and varied results have been a major source of concern.

The second concern has to do with the promise of skin tightening. If the skin does tighten it has proven to be a temporary result. It usually has to do with the swelling and the immature scarring than a permanent change.

The third concern deals with the amount of pain the patient feels following the surgery. There are fatty tissues that protect the nerve fibers in the skin and act as an insulator for them. When the tissue is melted away the fibers are left bare for a while. This causes a lot of pain and is actually the result of more pain than the actual surgery itself.

There are a number of differences between the new smart lipo techniques and the traditional techniques. Traditional methods actually suck the fatty tissue out of the body which is what the whole procedure was designed to do. The smart procedure melts the fat with intense heat and actually causes the death of the fatty cells.

The problem with the laser technique is determining on just how much energy or heat to use in order to kill the fat cells. The results of the surgery depend on the amount of heat that is used. The more and more the laser is used the better surgeons will know just how much heat to use to get great results.

Often when a new liposuction technique is introduced to the public there is a period of concentrated excitement. This excitement is brought on by the media and surgeons and behind it is an overwhelming promise to create easier and better results. The truth is that it takes surgeons time to know the true pros and cons of a particular procedure.
