He told me that there are those (in the workplace) who will "shit on you" for no reason in particular. To interpret his statement (or advice), I think that some people will hate you almost as much as they hate themselves. As to the reasons, I do not know in particular. Envy, jealously, and raw wickedness is among some potential reasons (or causes); but again, "my profession does not lend well to this subject or study."
