subject: Arizona Repossessed Homes Are Cheap [print this page]

Have you considered purchasing a house or relocating to Scottsdale, Arizona? If so, there are a few things that you might want to know.

Did you know that Scottsdale, Arizona is among the top ten in premium real estate? In 2005, this city averaged a remarkable $594 million in the sale of luxury houses! These statistic need not concern you, though, as there are many other styles of houses for you to consider, possibly more within your price range.

First, let's explore the southern area of Scottsdale. If you are into the nightlife and art scene then this area would most likely be right for you. This area might also be appealing to home buyers due to the close location to Arizona State University's new research center located in South Scottsdale known as SkySong, which is collaboration between the University, local business, and global companies. The Southern Scottsdale area has a median resale value of $291,000 which is much more moderately priced when you consider that North Scottsdale has a median resale price of $667,450.

Next is the area of Downtown or Old Town Scottsdale. Old Town Scottsdale is where you want to be if you wish to be at the heart of all the action. Downtown has a variety of bars, restaurants, nightclubs and art galleries that are popular with the downtown residents. Old Town Scottsdale is also home to the Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall, a very prestigious and extravagant establishment full of exquisite and lavish culture. It happens to be in the top twenty biggest malls in all the U.S.

Another area to consider in Scottsdale is the Central region. Running from Shea Boulevard south to Chaparral Road, the Shea Corridor is among the most envied and best loved places in which to live in this locale. Many houses in Central Scottsdale were constructed in the 70's, giving the region a very nostalgic "small town" appearance similar to a town right out of a movie. The truth is that a variety of movies and television programs have selected this neighborhood to film scenes in, since the neighborhoods here prove to be so quaint.

Fourth, we come to North Scottsdale. This part of Scottsdale is definitely for you, for those of you interested in expensive properties. Many of the homes in this region of Scottsdale exceed $5 million in value and it is a place that is considered to have some of the most expensive homes in the country. Due to the growth of the Scottsdale Airpark that is located in this region, there has been a residential boom there despite the high prices of the homes.
