The movie The Secret has been in the market for a while now and I'd say it was the starting point towards letting everyone know about the Law of Attraction and how it works in its simplest terms I think it is a great way to start learning about the topic, but it is still the commercial version. Therefore key elements were left out that can prevent you from actually being able to manifest your dreams
So, how does the Law of Attraction actually work?
Putting it in the simplest of terms, the formula is the following:
ASK - BELIEVE - RECEIVE
Asking
The first thing you need to do is ask yourself what you want. This is a very important part of the process, as knowing precisely what you want in great detail will help the Universe try to find ways and opportunities for you to get it. If your dreams and wishes are vague, then there's just not much the Universe can do to help materialize them You have to know exactly what you want, so that you can ask for it.
Work on setting up specific short and long term goals that can split up your dreams into smaller and more achievable activities that will eventually get you where you want.
Believing
Once you know exactly what you want, you need to start the Visualization process. You need to truly see yourself achieving your goals. This way you will open the door for all sorts of ideas to come to you and you will be able to see opportunities where you normally would not see them. The Universe will now constantly help you by putting crossroads on your path, where you get to decide whether you take the road to manifesting your dreams or if you continue with your life as it is now. It is YOUR choice. You get to choose what you do with our life, regardless of where we are today.
Receiving
The very first thing you need to do is accept that it can happen to you. If your subconscious mind does not agree that that special something can actually happen in your life, there is simply very little chance of success in your projects.
You need to put yourself in a "receiving attitude", so that the Universe can understand you are ready, and can work on manifesting your dreams. If you send conflicting messages, like asking for a new car, but then thinking a second hand car will do just fine, then the Universe will have a hard time knowing what exactly it is you want and you will not receive either of your wishes. If the Universe could send us a message it would be this one: MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!
So there you have it! The secret to actually manifesting your dreams is going through the entire process. If you quit at the Asking or Believing part, then you can be sure it will be very difficult for you to achieve your dreams. You need to put yourself in a receiving position, accepting that something special can and will indeed happen to you. Otherwise, you just wasted time setting up goals and visualizing your dreams
