subject: Getting rid ants [print this page] Author: David Fisen Author: David Fisen
There was a time where my house used to be a small paradise. There was a time when I could sit back and enjoy my tea and my newspaper in a way that made any tropic paradise look both indifferent and expensive. I guess I had that that sweet place we call home.
Then one day disaster struck.
I am not sure how disaster strikes in normal cases but mine crept in, and before I knew it, it was everywhere: under the carpet, on my dinner table, even in my sync.
Ants.
Lots of them.
And they were driving me crazy.
I started testing different chemicals on them, and I wanted to feel like the exterminator but there weren't any results to back up my fantasy: I had tried the whole shelf of my supermarket but those ants kept coming back.
Necessity is the mother of invention they say, and you can find it in the Internet.
One late night while I was cursing myself, I stumbled upon this little book that talks about ants.
The book was at a low price, and I decided to give it a try.
Here is what I've learned, in a nutshell:
- Find and Kill the Queen
- Do not let food around.
- Put poison on the right corners.
- Surround the house with poison.
- Use Jelly poison to let them carry it in the nest.
