Are you a card player? If so, then you probably have received quite a few bad hands in your time. That is, card combinations that are useless and will not win a game. What do you do with a bad hand? You usually send the cards back for a new hand. Ask any card player and he or she will tell you that bluffing your way through a bad hand is not always a good idea. And so we come to the issue of your life. Do you sometimes feel as if you have received a bad hand in your personal or professional life? Looking around you and knowing you are unhappy with your lot in life, what do you do? Do you bluff and pretend that you are content with your average job? Are you thankful that you are employable at all and do you repeatedly count your blessings? Thats called bluffing! While counting your blessings can be productive, rationalizing that you were never meant to have success in life is wrong. Its downright cruel to your inner self, the one that still dreams. Before assuming that you will never accomplish your greatest aims, remember these five points: * Your aims are only as high as you set them.
* You never stop learning.
* You must always be true to yourselfthis is happiness.
* Challenge yourself to do more on a daily basis.
* Have trust and faith in your abilities. These simple points appear to be simplistic, but you might be surprised at how many people still cannot comprehend them. People are trained and conditioned to devalue themselves as human beings. They think they are average. They believe that they fall short of greatness. They may even be browbeaten on a regular basis by people they know. This article is a reminder that you have control over the cards you have been dealt! You have the ability to drop the cards you dont want and start a brand new hand. You have full power to change the parts of your life you dont like and turn over a new leaf. You have this power regardless of your age, schooling or situation. Making a change does require great courage because not everyone will be supportive especially in the early stages. However, if you prepare well and commit yourself to change you can create a better life for yourself. Consider the things in life that you dont like and then make a step-by-step plan to change them. Remember that there are far more opportunities around you than obstacles! Sidestep those obstacles and create a better life for yourself. About the Author:
