In order to have the essential knowledge needed to reach level 80 & totally master WoW, as a hunter you will find that its necessary. The hunters are generally solo players, intimate only with their weapon & their pet they spend most of their time alone, likewise the race you choose for your hunter will directly influence the talent your hunter will have, but that doesn't imply that one race is necessarily better than another, it is simply a matter of choice for the player. There are five different races that can be chosen from. On the Horde side, the choices are Orc, Troll, & Tauren, for the players that prefer Alliance; Night Elf or Dwarf can be chosen.

Although one race is not essentially better than another your choice of race will have a direct influence over the talent of your hunter. Now, let us discuss the races. Dwarves get more hit points than other races & have great tracking skills - important for any hunter - it is also less common for someone to try and hit you if you are a Dwarf, yet Night Elves are more proficient at dodging than the rest.

When the WoW Hunter guide comes to the Alliance section you will find that the race which gets most hit points are the Dwarves, another skill they possess which is vital to hunters is tracking, it is also less common for Dwarves to get hit.

In the Alliance section of the WoW Hunter Guide you will find that the Dwarf race gets most hit points, while being less common that they get hit, Dwarves are also great trackers which is a vital skill to hunters. More proficient at dodging than the other races, the Night Elf is likewise a great choice.

The best way to start out leveling is searching for beasts, but once you reach level 10 you will need to head home in order to find the quest you need to get your pet, and that's also where the real important quests begin.

The quest for your pet is the first of the more important quests, it is also the one where you will learn vital information about your pet, such has how to feed & train it, & how to resurrect it, but in order to teach any skills to your pet, you must have skill points yourself.

The WoW Hunter Guide will teach you a variety of other things as well, such as how to build your character - whether beastmastery, survival or marksmanship, each of which will help you perform better, or how to kill & that you will need a rifle, crossbow, & bow to be a successful hunter.
