subject: Attorneys Should Include Video In Their Marketing Strategy [print this page]

Just when you thought you were getting comfortable riding the social media marketing bandwagon, you find that the game has changed once again. I am sure that it will come as no surprise to you that online video is gaining in popularity, but did you realize that they are totally H-O-T?!

A recent study conducted by comScore, Inc. revealed:

- More than 167 million viewers watched an average of 167 videos per viewer during the month of October 2009.

- 84.4 percent of the total U.S. Internet audience viewed online video.

- The average online video viewer watched 10.8 hours of video.

Staggering figures, don't you think?

It appears that 2010 will be a big year for video marketing. So now is the time for you to incorporate this technique in your practice.

Luckily, it has never been easier to create videos. There are many free or no cost programs that even a novice can use to create very effective videos for marketing.

There are also several different options for delivering content via video, including:

- Create a video of you presenting information or answering a question that you are frequently asked.

- Use stock images and still photos and deliver a message in your voice.

- Go through a presentation using slide shows.

- Use a video from another source (but make sure you have the right to use it).

Once you have your video created there are numerous ways to distribute it, but that is another blog post. For now, start thinking of topics that would be helpful for your target audience.
