Cleaning ceramic tiles calls for devoting special attention and being aware of the four fundamental components known as TACT. The cleaning industry is well conversant with the concept of TACT.
T stands for the temperature. The greater the temperature the better is the cleaning process and vice versa. A stands for agitation that needs to be applied for best results. The surface needs to be properly agitated in order to get the requisite results. Crefers to the chemical that is a part of the cleaning product and so essential for the ultimate outcome. A good cleaning is incomplete without the use of the right products. T again here stands for time. A cleaning product works better if it is allowed to work on the grim and dust. The results thus derived are unbelievable. Ceramic tiles are artificial tiles which undergo baking in the oven and can withstand high acidic as well as alkaline products. Thus, cleaning products can be comfortably be used on these tiles.
Cleaning ceramic tile is not a cumbersome activity as one can easily get rid of the stains, dirt and grease if the right quantity of the cleaning liquid is applied. It is imperative that you stick to the information printed on the bottle of the cleaning liquid. Moreover, for better results, you could dilute the cleaning liquid with hot water so that the grime gets washed away without much effort. One should not pour boiling water in the cleaning liquid, lest it would negate the good qualities of the cleaning liquid.
The acidic or alkaline solution takes about twenty minutes to act on the dirt and grime. The time factor plays an important role here. The entire cleaning process can be done by using a scrubber or a good firm cleaning brush. Do not use rough things like steel wool or even coarse pads as there is a possibility of scratches which would damage the ceramic tiles. The entire procedure is defined as the agitation process.
Make sure that the exterior of the tile is brushed properly so that the grease, dirt and grime are cleaned completely from the tile. The next process is to mop the surface of the tile so as to wipe out any traces of loose grease or cleaning agents. At times, tougher stains like that of urine, red wine are not cleaned completely and this is when one would need to use either an acidic or an alkaline cleaning base for wiping out the remaining stains. The tiles would appear impeccably clean and neat.
