Madden 08 once more is evidence the franchise shows no indicators of slowing down .The clever dudes at EA know to keep throwing some new ingredients into the mix, in order to keep things from growing off. As with any upgrade, graphics are sleeker, animation is smoother, and on this occassion, you have much more control of the action. Not to mention the revamped Hit Stick ( known in Madden 08 as Hit Stick 2.0 ), which lets you hit high or low. Briefly if you would like to master Madden 09 tournaments, you're going to have to pick up the basic offensive talents. 'Cause if you are so busy being blown away by all of the slick new animation and other bells and whistles, you're going to end up with an empty scoreboard ( and empty deposit account ) ..
We all love playing offense more than defense. There, we claimed it, speaking for a majority of Madden 08 game players. It's a no brainer - offense calls the shots. But in order to make the best of that, you really need to know what the hey you are doing. A successful offense means that you've got to keep your rival guessing at all points. Which unavoidably leads to the age old question of passing vs. Running. Yes, passing has its benefits - as in more yardage. And it's pretty damn fun, too. But there are risks concerned. And, become too contingent on the passing play, and your rival will catch on. So, here's our recommendation on making the pass, what to do, and when to do it.
first off , try throwing your rival off your trail. When setting up the formation, don't show your hand and make it clear that you're going for the pass. In brief if you wish to fool 'em, don't always go into the shotgun formation.
There's no crime in playing favorites. Hell, we all do it. You know, like on a Sat. night, you have four or five girls in mind to call, but there's one who... Sorry, going on a tangent. When throwing the ball, you have more than a technique to go, but you always need to keep your first choice in mind , the player you would like to throw the ball to, knowing it will yield the most satisfactory results. If that plan does not work out, keep your eye out for the other open receivers. Of course, this is where your true strengths as a player are tested ; you have to make the best call, and fast. And even as significantly, if your first choice isn't an option, you're going to have to, as the song goes, make a new plan, Stan. And do it now.
