In the past, unless you were to brace the cities eateries on a weekend - you would probably find yourself dining in solitude. However, with the city developing even its inhabitants are discovering a new found love for their home. Regardless of even unfavorable weather conditions, the restaurants provide an exciting and snug alternative to staying in.

Copenhagen is admired for how well it mixes its historical background - highlighted through cobbled streets and copper steeples, with its modern core. Visitors are flocking here to be surrounded in one of the most up and coming design cities in the world. Not to mention the superb cuisine that is finally wetting the appetite of even the hardest to please foodies.

You will instantly feel at home here - the locals don't go out of their way to be friendly, helpful or polite, they are naturally great hosts proud of their immaculate and secure city. Although learning a few words and phrases in Danish is a respectable thing to do, you will be pleasantly surprised how well they speak the English tongue. You really couldn't ask for a smoother ride either - the transport here is of an exceptional high standard and you won' feel swamped by traffic - it is all under control.

The only thing you really should concern yourself with is booking a hotel. The city is growing in popularity and to meet your needs you should really book in advance when you can to secure yourself a suitable place. Your best bet is booking over the internet which can be far more up to date and with the extra plus of continuously good offers in terms of price.

For young fashionistas and anyone seeking out a lively night scene - the districts of Vesterbro and Norrebro will be an instant hit, both over spilling with unique boutiques and trendy bars. At the center of its alternative music scene is Rust - never failing to provide the best in new music.

No trip to Copenhagen would be complete without visiting the harbor - perhaps like many others have done before you - getting a snap of its Little Mermaid statue and then wondering what is so remarkable about her? Aside from this statue, the focal point of the harbor, you can partake in short boat trips to view the city in a new perspective from its many intertwining canals.

For anyone who literally wants to get a taste of Copenhagen, keep your eye out for organically inspired restaurants. Take your pick from menus contributing to the use of local produce - smoked eels, lobster and oysters, musk ox, truffles and Danish cheeses.
