Learn a few basic self defense moves that could save your life if you are ever attacked. These moves will help you no matter what your size, shape, gender or age. An attack can happen within seconds and there is no time to think about what you should do, if you learn a few basic defense moves, you can stop any attacker.

Every women has been told that if you are attacked by a man the first thing you should try is a good kick to the groin, this is one of the best self defense moves, but include a woman in that scenario too. A woman is less likely to expect the kick and it will hurt enough for you to have a chance to get away. Use your knee for the blow, you will not have to extend your leg and give the attacker a chance to grab it.

There are other self defense moves to try if the kick to the groin did not work. If you are face to face with the person curl your fingers like claws, push them into the person's forehead and drag down as hard as you can. You do not need to have long nails to do this it will work anyway. Some attackers only want to get fights caught on tape and will do anything, you need to be prepared to fight back.

If dragging your fingers down your attackers face does not work you will need to something harder. Remember this person does not care about you so do not care about them. Take our thumbs and jab them into the persons' eyes. They will let go of you and that is your time to run.

If your attacker only uses one hand to cover their face and does not let go of you use one of the other self defense moves on them. Make a fist and punch them in the hollow part of the throat, this is closer to the chest. The pain from this is very bad and they will lose their breath.

If you attacked from behind, there are self defense moves that you can use to get away, even if someone has you in a bear hug with your arms down. Stomp on the person's foot, as you are bringing your foot down slide your foot along their shin bone. Put all of your weight on the heel of your foot and grind the stomp into their foot.

If the pain does not cause your attacker to release you, throw your head back as fast and hard as you can and hit them in the forehead. This will not hurt you as much as it will them and it will give you enough time to get away. These self defense moves are only the beginning you can take classes that will teach you the proper way to do them and more moves, but these are a start and they will help.
