Camping is extremely alluring and it's no wonder because America has plenty of parks and recreation areas to seek adventure. Whether you want to relax or expend as much energy as possible, there are a number of suitable activities. Bike riding or watching the stars are just a couple things to consider doing. The Great Outdoors is full of intriguing opportunities.

To get started on your adventure all you need is to start a little research around the Internet and outdoor magazines. For tried and true camping trips you can always depend on the the many US national parks. The Grand Canyon and Yosemite national parks are just two of the breathtaking opportunities. For experienced campers or adventurers who want a particularly special trip, there are plenty of unique camping options. You can hike year round through the Forty Mile Canyon in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Utah. The hike is challenging but doable as you wander among the trees and travel along Forty Mile Creek. When you need a little cooling down, you can jump into the pool beneath the 12-foot waterfall or try out some of the other glistening pools.

At the San Gorgonio Mountain in California you can experience an awesome panoramic view from the summit. The mountaintop over 11,000 feet up lets you see a gorgeous sprawling view of Southern California. Away from the buildings of the city, you'll see the sky in a brand new way. Back in the east you can also find great peaks in the Appalachian Mountains and foothills.

If you're looking for unique camping opportunities, some campsites are just for you. Two great spots for a little nude bathing are Conundrum Hot Springs, Colorado, and Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park, Michigan. In the cool, clear freshwater of Lake Superior you can admire the pink and orange sky of sunset surrounded by the pines and hardwoods. For optimal stargazing away from the concrete and smog of the city, a great place to camp is Mount Wrightson Wilderness in Arizona. High on the tree-free summit you can see the Milky Way like youve never seen it before. The Hawaiian islands are another hotspot to find plenty of exciting opportunities for excursions.

No matter what you're looking for, an outdoor adventure is calling for you. With friends or family or even a few strangers, you'll have plenty of fun whatever you choose to do. From coast to coast, there's plenty of adventure waiting for you.
