A marketing lead is the identity of someone or business that could have an interest in purchasing services or products. It is the first level of the selling process. The lead could have a firm related to them. Free promotional leads much of the time come from trade shows, advertising, or maybe rude, aggressive techniques like cold-calling phone numbers from your local telephone book. Cold calls, in reality, aren't very effective.

Suppose you don't know who these people are, the things that they want, and they're not at all mindful of your service or product.

Contact information doesn't turn in to a marketing lead unless and until the person behind the contact info has some specific cause why they'd be more curious about your product or service than the person on the street. To explain, you have to know something about them. What they like, and more importantly what they require particularly if what they want has something to do with what you do or sell.

If you drop the words 'free promotional leads' in your search site, possibilities are it'll generate page after page of hits. Chances, are virtually all of these hits will be pretty dodgy, starting from Multi-Level-Marketing schemes (that's the polite name for pyramid scams ) to 'businusess' whose single aim is to rip you off by selling you catalogues of free leads. Wait a second - if they are selling you leads, then the leads are not free, right? You'd think. But obviously there really is a sucker born each minute.

A different kind of 'free marketing lead' - one of those kinds that at some specific point in the chain, youmight probably be anticipated to splutter up some cash for - is lists of emails. Frequently the seller of the list claims that these e-mails are pre-filtered to be relevant to exactly what you are promoting. Often enough, this same seller sells the exact list to every would-be marketer, regardless of what that would-be marketer is actually trying to promote.

In other words, these leads have the hackneyed snowball's chance in a well-known, hot, upsetting place of ever generating sales. They're fundamentally a way of cold calling. To explain, if you have always dreamed about turning into a spammer, this is the way to go.

Sales leads are, obviously, leads that may lead right to sales. Promotional leads are slightly different. These are centered leads that are brand-specific rather than product particular. What makes your brand special? Do people know what you do? How you do it? Who you are? Think about who wishes what you do. This is the first step in generating real marketing promotional leads.

Possibly the best, most truthful, most dignified source of free marketing leads is your own website. Folk that visit your website do so for a reason. If they visit more than once, they're really inquisitive about what you do, who you are, and how you do what you do. These are genuine free marketing leads, and about as precisely centered as you might hope for. Are you going to chase up, or are you going to let them slip away?
